Although we never got to see Tekken vs. Street Fighter (and there is still hope in the hearts of every gamer who was waiting and waiting), it is still possible for Bandai Namco to make up for the tremendous letdown and give gamers another collaboration. How about Tekken vs. Mortal Kombat?

Tekken 8 was released in 2024 to massive success and fan fare. Not only did Tekken 8 take the crown of the best fighting game of 2024, Tekken 8 took the crown of the best-looking fighting game and one of, if not the best-looking game of 2024. Tekken continues its success with the additional character of Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy 16! How cool?? Clive is the fraternal twin of Dante from Devil May Cry, so it’ll be a lot of fun to play him against the Tekken Roster. But what if the realm of Mortal Kombat invaded Tekken?

Mortal Kombat 1 was highly anticipated until the game came out to a couple controversies, so to speak. The weird Kameo fighters still knock down the game’s quality. Also, the graphics looked more like last generation. Also, Warner Bros. tried to get people to pay for fatalities. Mortal Kombat’s thrill has waned a bit, and the franchise could use something to liven it back up again.

Having Mortal Kombat fighters battle Tekken fighters would be a captivating display of power, ego, brute force, and vicious martial arts. Both use Unreal Engine (Tekken used Unreal Engine 5), so maybe things could go smoother in development. When it comes to collaborations with other franchises, MK’s fatality system makes corporate suits quiver. However, with the success of DC vs. Mortal Kombat, it’s very possible to make this work.

What do you all think? Do you want Tekken vs. Mortal Kombat?
