Double Dragon Revive is the hotly anticipated game from Arc System Works.
According to Arc System Works, the game is set 15 years since the end of the Nuclear War.
“People who managed to survive have built colonies in various parts of the devastated world; however, the concept of a country has been lost, and the powerful people who govern the colonies now control the politics and laws. One colony established on the coast is a city ruled by the Shadow Warriors gang, and since they took control, the gap between rich and poor in the colony has intensified. The people living in the slums have been forced to live a hard life, and there are constant rumors of mysterious disappearances. The Lee brothers, masters of the Sosetsuken, live in a corner of such a city along with their childhood friend, Marian. When honest younger brother Billy and free-spirited older brother Jimmy find the Sosetsuken dojo they inherit ending in the way of the city’s evil schemes, the story begins…”
Double Dragon is an iconic game of the 80’s that was developed and published by Technos Japan. In 2015, Arc System Works acquired the rights to all former Technos Japan IPs, which included the Double Dragon series.
The new Double Dragon game is created in 3D while still being a beat-em-up platform. Instead of just button mashing, players will have to build strategies by learning their enemies patterns and using timed attacks.
The game will release October 23, 2025 on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox
